The Life Behind the Work
I did not come to art through a traditional path.
Before becoming an artist, I lived more than one life — fifteen years in animal care, wildlife rehabilitation, veterinary assistance, and animal cruelty investigation, followed by a ten-year career in oil and gas inspection.
Those years shaped the way I see: anatomy, behaviour, structure, endurance, precision, and the details others might miss.
I came to painting later in life, but not empty-handed. The discipline from those earlier worlds became the foundation for the hyperreal work I create now.
Today, my practice spans mythic beings, wildlife, human figures, portraits, iconic machines, and large-scale statement works — each created with the seriousness of observation and the atmosphere of cinema.
Whether the subject is flesh, fur, scale, metal, movement, or memory, my goal is to create work with presence: artwork that feels alive, technically grounded, emotionally charged, and impossible to ignore.
