Hyperreal Artwork for Set Decoration, Luxury Spaces, Licensing & Cinematic Worlds

Original hyperreal works by Jen Myhre are available for select film, television, design, licensing, and private acquisition opportunities.

From mythic beings and sci-fi portraiture to wildlife, luxury vehicles, and large-scale statement pieces, the work is created with a cinematic level of realism — grounded, detailed, and designed to

make the imagined feel physically real.

Collector editions from The Natural History of Myth have not yet been publicly released. Select works may be available for professional reproduction, screen use, licensing, exhibition, or private acquisition by direct inquiry.

Artwork for Worlds That Feel Real

Hyperrealism has a unique power on screen and in physical spaces: it makes the imagined feel tangible.

My work is built through layered detail, anatomical observation, texture, light, and presence. Whether the subject is a dragon, mermaid, alien intelligence, wild animal, luxury vehicle, or human figure, the goal is always the same — to make the viewer believe they are looking at something that could exist.

For film, television, design, publishing, and collector spaces, these works may be used as original set decoration, high-quality reproductions, licensed imagery, visual reference, or statement artwork for environments that require depth, atmosphere, and story.

I am the artist and copyright owner of the work, allowing licensing and screen-use conversations to be handled directly.

The Artist Behind the Worlds

“I create beings and worlds from my imagination,

then paint them as if they truly belong to the natural world.”

The Life Behind the Myth

I did not come to art through a traditional path.

Before becoming an artist, I lived more than one life — fifteen years in animal care, wildlife rehabilitation, veterinary assistance, and animal cruelty investigation, followed by a ten-year career in oil and gas inspection.

Those years taught me discipline, endurance, precision, anatomy, behaviour, and how to notice what others might miss.

I did not pick up a paintbrush until later in life. What began as a way to keep my hands and mind steady became the doorway into the work I had been trying to reach all along.

Today, I create hyperreal beings, animals, figures, iconic machines, and imagined worlds with the seriousness of natural history and the atmosphere of cinema.

My current body of work, The Natural History of Myth, brings dragons, mermaids, alien intelligence, and legendary beings into realism — not as fantasy decoration, but as living presences.

What This Work Offers

This body of work is suited to projects and spaces that require artwork with presence, atmosphere, and story.

Possible uses include:

  • cinematic set dressing for film and television

  • artwork for luxury interiors, offices, show homes, and private residences

  • large-scale statement pieces for collectors and design-led spaces

  • licensed imagery for publishing, promotional, editorial, or screen-based projects

  • visual reference for mythic, sci-fi, creature-based, or natural-history-inspired worlds

  • private acquisition of original works

  • select commissioned works by discussion

Each piece is created with a level of realism intended to hold up both from across a room and under close inspection.
